Your account belongs to you. You can delete it whenever you like, permanently, without having to justify yourself or ask anyone for anything.
From the app (immediate)
This is the fastest way: deletion takes effect straight away, with no approval needed from us.
- Open TryCast and log in.
- Go to the Profile tab, then the Settings icon at the top of the screen.
- At the very bottom, in the Danger zone section: Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your account and its associated data are erased immediately.
If you'd like to keep a copy of your predictions before you go, first head to Settings → Privacy → Export my data.
By email (if you've uninstalled the app)
Write to contact@trycast.fr from your account's email address, with “account deletion” as the subject. Matching addresses is how we check that the request really comes from you — we never ask for a password.
Requests are handled within one month at most, and in practice much faster.
What is deleted
Everything linking you to the service disappears permanently, with no recycle bin and no cooling-off period:
- your account and your login details;
- your profile: username, email address, profile photo;
- your predictions, points and leaderboard positions;
- your league memberships — and the leagues you created, along with them;
- your notification preferences and your phone's push tokens.
If you created a league, warn its members first: deleting it is irreversible and wipes out everyone's leaderboard. You can also transfer ownership to another member from the league's page, then delete your account — the league will live on.
What may remain
Nothing that could identify you again. Any usage measurements collected are anonymous from the outset and not linked to any account: they can therefore be neither traced nor deleted individually. If your address was on the beta waitlist, it will be removed on request to the same address.
